Watersports
The list of watersports today is as long as the rivers they can take place on — kayaking, canoeing, kitesurfing, swimming, pedaloing, rafting, stand-up paddleboarding and many more. Each year, more and more rowers head out to the open waves, and stand-up paddleboarding is now one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. Within our first year, Firepot headed out on canoes on the Essequibo River in Guyana, with Ness Knight, Laura Bingham and Pip Stewart, who became the first in history to paddle the Essequibo from source to sea. We’ve also been out on the open waters with the likes of Pedal the Pond, as they became the first to cross the Atlantic on a pedalo.
